Harris County met on August 8, 2023, to decide on a new budget (from tax dollars!) for fiscal year 2024 (Oct 1, 2023 – Sept 30, 2024). Woori Juntos and other community members help testify at commissioners’ court to fight for just investment in programs that keep our community safe: language access, holistic assistance response team, im/migrant legal services fund, rental assistance, heat reduction, and more.
