Fox Combo Tutorial: Bread and Butters in Smash Ultimate

2024 UPDATE (PLEASE READ)
Hey guys, so this stuff was labbed out in December/January when the game came out. Originally, I planned to make a lot more content and better refine this video – this is actually version 2 which fixed previous errors, and I planned to do the same. However, a lack of interest in the game as well as being in my final year of university has left me unwilling to do more videos, so this one has stayed up. There’s a lot of stuff here that isn’t fully accurate to DI, percentage, or whatever else. I still think the information is generally fine, but you likely won’t get some of the extended true combos. I may still update it one day, but it’s not on the cards for me right now, and I’m sorry about that.

This video contains some basic and advanced bread and butters for Fox. Of course, there’s a lot of stuff not covered in here, but this is to help you get a starting point for how your combos do and don’t work.

(NOTE: at 3:42, it should say 50%, not 30%. Sorry!)

If you’re confused on how I do the Back Airs so quickly, check out this video by MySmashCorner:

If you have any feedback, I’d really appreciate it! Down the line, I’m probably going to make a more complete guide, so I’d love to hear your thoughts on what I can improve before then.

So, this is my first piece of actual Ultimate content. I’m still not 100% sure exactly what I want to do with content – I have a few scripts written for Optimising Fox and some other videos like “How to Lab”, but … I dunno. I don’t feel I know quite enough about the game yet to tell people how to play it, and the last thing I want to do is rush out videos with misinformation in them. I imagine that I’ll eventually feel confident enough to start making more in-depth tutorials – for both Fox and Inkling! – but until then, please sit tight. I read all of your comments, and I see the people who have been commenting on my stuff for years. It really means a lot to me that you’re still sticking around to listen to me talk about Fox!
